Why Make Aerated Worm Castings Tea?
The biggest reason is to make a little castings go a LONG way.
1 cup of castings can be used to make a tea that can treat a garden up to 25 metres x 25 metres, or 650 square metres !
That’s a whole suburban block worth of plants with ONE CUP of castings !!
Another great reason is that it removes any volunteer seeds from being put in the garden, as long as you use a “sock” and or strain the liquid before application.

What IS NOT Tea? (AKA leachate/worm wee/worm pee)
If you think the rotten smelly stuff coming out of the bottom of your worm farm is tea, you better read the Leachate Info Sheet.
It tells you whats wrong with leachate that the leading scientist thinks it should be flushed down the toilet – and how to best use the stuff so it isn’t wasted!

Brew Recipes & Application Rates – To Suit Various Sized Brewers & Gardens
This table shows various sized brews, the gardens they can be applied to and the kits suited to that size (of course, you can make several brews to treat larger areas):
Foliar Application Vs Ground Drench Application – What’s The Difference In Application Rates?
Of course there’s a difference between FOLIAR application (applied to the leaves of plants) and GROUND DRENCH application (applied to the soil.)
Basically ground drench uses four times the tea – or to put it the other way around, can be applied to a garden 1/4 the size (of using a foliar application.)
