Hi everyone 🙂

Sorry it’s been such a long time between posts, but I have been SO BUSY filling orders and growing my local business.
Every facet of my business is growing – through a lot of hard work, I assure you 😀

I thought I would write up a quick post about what I was doing today.

Today, I attended the Carp Cup 2018 family day.

(Pictures at the end of the post)

I sponsored the comp with some prize certificates – and I am a member of the Logan & Albert Fish Management Association.

The event is to help educate about the problem of the two main pest fish we have here, being the Tilapia and the Carp.

I sponsor several events like this one, believing in the work that they do. Pest fish are a very big problem here. They choke up the waterways, out-competing our local fish in the process.

LAFMA helps to raise awareness of the problem fish, helping people learn to identify them, their safe and humane disposal – and also raises money in the process.

The money raised is used to buy Cod and Bass “fingerlings” – small, young fish, that they release in the waterways. A GREAT cause.

A special shout out to Pest Fishing Adventures and Kayos On The Water – both holding Facebook pages.

I talked to Nicole from PFA several times through the day.
I will be honest here – I was eying off her drone 😀 Not that I could think of any way I could USE one – but it was a nice piece of kit and they obviously use it to good effect for their page.
PFA is making a mark in the fishing scene, trying to help educate people on the pest fish – take a look at their info on their Facebook page here:

Kayos was a very quiet young man but OBVIOUSLY knew what he was doing. He was a stand out in returning with fish often.
I suspect he may have won some prizes, but I don;t have access to that info as of yet.
Well done, mate !

Thanks very much for reading of the “Worm Man’s Adventures” (that has a nice ring to it, lol)

Here are some pictures from the day. Permission has been given to me to publish these pictures by the person in the photo – and their parent if they are a child.

And thanks very much for reading my blog – and HAPPY WORMING.
Regards,
Brian Donaldson
