Make-and-Take Worm Farming Drawing Activity for Early Learners (Ages 2½–3+)

In the Little Worm Farmers activity, children Draw, Learn & Discover in a guided make-and-take experience where children explore worm farming through creativity, storytelling, and visual learning.

Each session includes all drawing materials, visual learning aids, guided instruction, and take-home worksheets designed specifically for early learners.

Children also experience a real-world connection to nature through hands-on discovery. Depending on the session setup, this may include seeing and gently touching live worms, observing live composting insects and other beneficial bugs, and viewing live worm eggs as part of an active worm farm ecosystem.

The experience is led by Brian, who uses storytelling, large visual images, and simple explanations to help children understand the importance of worms, composting, and reducing food and organic waste. These real-world encounters bring the drawings to life and help children connect creativity with environmental understanding.


Educational Value

This activity blends early science learning with creativity, storytelling, and hands-on environmental discovery.
