Hi there
I live in brisbane and already have a thriving worm farm.
Occassionally go fishing, so was wondering whether to get some Night crawlers. How to the go in comparison to the Blues and Reds. SO hoping to have some robust worms with bait as well.

I woudl appreciate your advice, as well as how quickly do the night crawlers grow their population

Hi Mark,
Unfortunately, breeding either bait species in small farms is not very successful.
It is also not a one -step-one-farm process.
I usually tell people this up front so they arent disappointed later.
I won’t actually STOP you from buying worms from me and trying – but that is really up to you . . . . 😉
I only sell large sized africans and euros, suitable for bait.
Best advice would be to read read read and do some research yourself.
A great place to start is all the free info and guides I put on my website 😉

Here is an article that I wrote for more information –

If you make a bait bucket like I show you, and store the worms correctly, you’ll get 4 to 8 weeks out of them.
I have customers doing this regularly for feeding pets.
I even had worms in a bucket like that for 3 to 4 months without issues – they just got a bit smaller as all they had to eat was cardboard.

You can buy bait sized bait worms on my website for delivery here

This is the info I supply with bait worms, re making a bucket and keeping them etc
