The BEAST CFT Plans Package: (US$37 value – AUS$53.00)
To build a wooden CFT without much building knowledge, the CFT E-book is invaluable. It comes with follow along videos and is the best set of plans available in the industry today. (US$37 value)
While we DO study how a wooden CFT is built within the Workshop, we don’t actually study the EXACT way that it is built.
The WEDGE System E-Book (US19.99 value – AUS$28.50)
The WEDGE system E-book was written to train commercial clients.
It is a great record for students of the setup and feeding practices peculiar to the WEDGE System.
Continuous Flow Through (CFT) Worm Farms:
- Advantages & disadvantages compared to “normal” systems & The WEDGE
- Different CFT farms are shown and explained
- Wooden (“BEAST”) – pictures only
- Wheelie bin conversion (small example brought along to show students “in person”)
- The three bag systems available : Worm Inn, Urban Worm Bag & Vermibag
- I explain quickly how I built my wooden “BEAST” CFT’s (Not a full how-to: the best way to get that info is the BEAST CFT Plans package.)
- The three different bag systems are brought along and shown to the students “in person” – Worm Inn, Urban Worm Bag & Vermibag
- I will bring along a CFT/wheelie bin conversion to show students “in person”. The building of this bin is shown in some detail in the Workshop.
- Population densities
- Understanding the way a CFT “works”
- Setting up a new CFT
- How to feed
- How to harvest
- Precautions & pitfalls
- Easy conversion of an old compost bin or a plastic barrel to a CFT
- A system that is nearly a CFT, but not quite a CFT – but better than a traditional stacking plastic box system
The WEDGE System:
- Advantages & disadvantages compared to “normal” systems & CFT’s
- Understanding the operation of the WEDGE
- Setting up a new WEDGE
- How to feed
- How to harvest
- Precautions & pitfalls
Training Purpose / Restriction:
This Workshop is for large domestic (home) use – or small hobby farm use.
If your interest is at a commercial level, this Workshop is a great primer, but will not satisfy all of your needs.
You may have to employ Brian on a consulting basis to further your education about the commercial aspect of the subject.
