PLEASE NOTE: NO CASTINGS OR COMPOST SUPPLIED WITH THIS PRODUCT – BYO ingredients.
Whether you are making Tea from Worm Castings OR Compost – these bags are for you !
Suitable for Aerated Castings/Compost Tea – Non-Aerated Castings/Compost Tea – Castings/Compost Water Extracts.
Written Instructions Supplied !!
You get a printed copy of the Aerated Castings Tea Quick Start Instructions.
The instructions go into making Castings Water Extracts, Non-Aerated Castings Tea (NACT) & Aerated Castings Tea (ACT).
Of course you can make the same products from COMPOST instead of WORM CASTINGS.
It gives you step-by-step instructions to brew your first tea, including a handy reference chart for different sized brews, recipes & application rates/areas.
It teaches you about the simplest way to apply Worm Castings in a Water Extract – to the middle ground of Non-Aerated Castings Tea (you probably have everything you need to do NACT !) – to the most sophisticated option of Aerated Castings Tea !
(Pump & Aerator Kits sold separately.)

Tea Bag SIZE:
The Tea Bags are approx. 30cm long x 22cm wide and hold approx. 4 litres of Castings Or Compost.
That’s big enough for a brew that can be applied to up to 1/4 acre as a ground drench or 1 acre as a foliar feed!
Of course, you can use more than one tea bag in a brew, for larger applications.
Of course, you can put a smaller amount in for smaller gardens – there’s a handy Brewing Reference Table included in the instructions.
PLEASE NOTE: NO CASTINGS OR COMPOST SUPPLIED WITH THIS PRODUCT – BYO ingredients.
Hole Size:
These bags have the perfect hole size to allow the free passage of microbes, but restrict a lot of the castings from going into the brew.
If you want to use a sprayer or pump, or a watering can with a fine rose, some straining is beneficial, so you don’t get blockages.
These bags keep a lot of the castings or compost back, making final straining easier.
Care Of The Bags / Service Life
The bags are well made and have been tested by Brian to ensure they last many brews.
Of course, some care IS needed, like:
- do not lift a full bag of castings with the string closure, especially when they have been in the brew as they are really heavy and you may rip the string or damage the bag.
- wash the bag out right after using to ensure any biofilm is gone and let the bag air dry, place it in the afternoon sun for a couple of hours to sterilise it in the UV rays.
- don’t leave the bag in the sun longer than a few hours or the sun may damage it over time – store it in a cool dark place.
