a question about grease proof paper

Amanda Ferguson asked 6 years ago

Hi Brian,

I’m trying to use less plastic. Are my worms able to eat greaseproof paper? I have read not to give them waxed surfaces, but can’t find anything about greaseproof.
thank you.

Hi Amanda,

It’s probably not going to break down well. So, I’d suspect the worms wont be very interested in it, I’m sorry to say.

I always advise giving the worms the BEST of the scraps etc you have at your disposal – and leaving the dodgy stuff out, since the normal plastic worm farm people have can’t eat all of your waste stream anyway.

Thanks for asking your question

Regards
Brian
