Agricultural waste

Dennis Madden asked 4 years ago

We are planning a vermicomposting project in association with growing vanilla in Malaysia. As feedstock we plan to use shredded oil palm fronds, sweet corn stalks, banana plants and chicken shit. Used in a wedge system. Would we get sufficient guidance from your book to warrant a purchase. Or is your system more directed at using commercial waste as opposed to agricultural waste

Hi Dennis
Unfortunately every system and feedstock needs some “dialling in”, or learning on the go – especially large or commercial systems.

I couldnt say youd get as much out of the E-book as, say if you spent thousands on a consultancy – but the Ebook is only 20 US dollars.
If you dont know much about worms or wedges, you have to start somewhere and the book is a good resource.

I’d advise you start some pilot projects – smaller wedges where you experiment with your conditions, feedstock and practices – and you learn what works for you where you are with what you have.

Hope that makes sense 🙂

Thanks for asking your question
