any thoughts on using coir in bedding?

Hi Joe,
There’s no harm to the worms in using it.
The issues people have with it are:
1. it looks very similar to VC – so you dont know when its processed properly
2. even though its a by product of the coconut industry, it still costs money to buy – and costs resources to process, package and ship it.

Better things for bedding are readily available, already in your home – and FREE.
I favour brown cardboard, a little bit of newspaper – and well aged grass and leaves. (4 weeks sat in a pile should do it – add in small amounts so it doesnt heat up)
