Will red wrigglers survive if they are put into my garden bed with the castings either as cocoons or as hatched worms, i’m trying to attract native worms but would welcome any sort. I am looking at a suitable worm farm to buy.  I live in Perth where the climate is hot in summer, with mild winters, no frost.
Cheers

Hi James

It all depends on the climatic conditions and the conditions in your garden.
A great way to introduce composting worms right into your garden is to use a garden feeding station. These will also help attract and nourish native earthworms. Here’s how you can make one, including how to harvest it when it eventually fills up 🙂
