How BIG Are These Worms?
Bait size for African Night Crawler worms is usually 7 to 10 cm long – but can be up to 15 cm long !
We supply worms that are over the 7 cm mark – and at most times are about 10 to 15 cm long.
Africans are fatter at the head – at about 5 to 7 mm thick.
By comparison, compost worms are only 2 to 4 cm long by 1 – 2 mm thick and may release a foul smelling (and tasting) garlicky liquid when upset.

How To Keep The Worms Alive – Make A Worm Bucket:
It’s a good idea to have a thermometer to monitor the temperature in your worm bucket.
Several types are stocked in the website shop from as little as $5. Available for pickup or delivery customers.

Some Feeding TIPS From Other Customers:
TIP: Rinse the worms in some aquarium water, or balanced de-chlorinated water, prior to feeding.
When you feed Axies pellets, it can be hard to see who has been fed, and it may make the water dirty:
– with pellets you can’t be sure all axies are getting a feed or an equal portion of the feed
– the axies take the pellet, but some of it dissolves in the water making it dirty
– with worms they slurp the whole thing in one go, leaving the water clear, and you sure that they are all getting a feed
I have been told by breeders that a worm a day is a complete diet for an axie, similar to what they would get in the wild.
