African Night Crawlers

Sizes / What To Expect
Bait size for African Night Crawler worms is MINIMUM 7 cm long – usually they are 10-12cm long – but can be up to 15 cm long !

Africans are fatter at the head and thin off towards the tail – at about 5 to 7 mm thick.

By comparison, “normal” composting worms are only 2 to 4 cm long by 1 – 2 mm thick.

Sizes / What To Expect
These worms are sold as breeding worms to start a composting system.
They will have a clitellum/saddle/bulge, which indicates a breeding adult.
They are not of any certain length (like bait worms are a certain length) – although adult Euro breeders are often about 5cm long.

European Night Crawlers

Compared to Africans, the Europeans are a little shorter, but are thicker all along their length.
They are a harder, more muscled worm.
Very active and good for using whole when targeting bigger fish.
They move around a lot and may stay on the hook a little better than Africans due to their muscular body.

While the buckets ARE diverted from the waste stream, their cost has gone up and I have to pick them up, store them, then wash them out prior to using them, to provide you with this waste stream rescued bucket.

The Advanced Aerator Upgrade lets you replace the air stones supplied with the Advanced Pump with an easy to clean and easy to maintain bubble pipe system.

Air stones need a lot of cleaning and eventually become blocked or break and need replacing.

This easy clean pipe system should last a long time.

The ADVANCED Pump and the ADVANCED Aerator can be used to brew up to 30 litres of aerated worm castings tea, which can be applied to up to 2 acres as a foliar feed.

The PRO Aerator Upgrade gives you a 32 mm air lift brewing system.

For large volume pumps, air stones are not suitable and you need a more sophisticated aeration system.

The 32 mm air lift is what pros around the world use for medium/large scale brewing.

The PRO Pump and the PRO Aerator are suitable for brewing up to 200 litres of aerated castings tea which can be applied to up to 12 acres as a foliar application.

Some people will use this same pump and aerator for 800 litre batches in an IBC tank; but that application may benefit from a larger pump and enlarged aerator. Please ask me for prices on building larger systems.
