Description
Overview:
Having decided to reduce the stocks I breed of this species, but having customers requiring access to the species for school science or as breeding stock, the Euros are now priced as specialized breeding stock.
You can buy them for bait, but they may be smaller than actual bait-sized worms (like the Africans I sell.)
Breeding Stock: Terms & Conditions
Customers wishing to buy these worms to set up a composting worm farm with please note that bait worms are harder to raise in many ways than normal composting worms.
Some worm farm types or climatic conditions may not suit raising these worms.
Essentially they are composting worms and a great place to start is the composting worm instruction sheets/guides.
See www.TheWormMan.com.au/help
Sizes / What To Expect
These worms are sold as breeding worms to start a composting system.
They will have a clitellum/saddle/bulge, which indicates a breeding adult.
They are not of any certain length (like bait worms are a certain length) – although adult Euro breeders are often about 5cm long.

European Night Crawlers – A Great Bait Worm
Compared to Africans, the Europeans are a little shorter, but are thicker all along their length.
They are a harder, more muscled worm.
Very active, good for using whole when targeting bigger fish.
They move around a lot and may stay on the hook a little better than Africans.
(Please see below for why some compost worms aren’t good for fishing bait, or feeding to pets)

“Received 11.00 am. Today.
Now all tucked into their bedding in the Worm Farm, layer 2.
They have, waiting for them on top of their bedding, fresh salad greens left over from our dinner last night.
Very Professional Service, Brian, and the Packaging was excellent.
Would recommend you, and your Products, to Anyone!
Again, thank you.

For COMPOSTING WORMS (For Worm Farms):
It is BEST to make up your farm right away so it is ready for the worms when they arrive.
This will also allow the microbes to start building up in the farm. Here are the instruction sets for you to look at:
Composting Worm Instruction Sheet: https://thewormman.com.au/worm-farming-instructions/

For Using As BAIT WORMS:
YOU WILL NEED TO MAKE A BAIT BUCKET TO PUT THEM IN – Instructions on my website:
What to do right away when the worms arrive – https://thewormman.com.au/shipping-worms-what-to-do-when-they-arrive/
Making a bait worm bucket – https://thewormman.com.au/how-to-make-a-fishing-bait-bucket-for-worms/
Note – I send a piece of “chux” material with each bag of worms in the order, suitable for up to approx a 4-6 litre bucket.
Note – Bunnings sells these buckets (for $5), if you cant find one at home for free – they are very much the same as the buckets I give out to local customers. I cant send one in the package as they are too big to fit in the packages:
