Stuff You Have To Supply For The DIY Activity:
SUPPLY YOUR OWN BOTTLE: you need a 2 or 3 litre plastic bottle for each child doing the activity. Milk or juice bottles are best as they have a nice big lid. But soft drink bottles are ok, if that is what you have. Rinse them out 3 times – do not use soap or any other cleaning product – and let them dry properly before the worms arrive. You don’t need the cap, I supply a cloth lid, so the worms can breathe in the bottle.
SUPPLY YOUR OWN BEDDING – cardboard from egg cartons, the tubes in the middle of paper rolls, brown fluted cardboard boxes. Make sure you have enough bedding set aside ready for the activity.
Please Note: For multi-activity packages, the worms are packaged together in one bag.
You tip the bag of worms out into a tray or onto a table, the kids share and “dig and discover” their worms.
DIY Activity Kits Include:
For EACH activity in the package:
- Composting worms (worms measured by weight, approx. 10 to 15 grams per activity – equates to approx. 20 to 50 worms.)
- A cloth lid and rubber band to secure it
- Laminated name tag and rubber band to fix it onto the bottle – includes link on back to care instructions
- Kids activity sheets about worm farming
- “Olly The Worm” stickers
Paperwork: each multi-activity package purchased contains ONE copy of:
- How to Do It Yourself: step-by-step instructions
- Care instructions for looking after the worm farm afterwards
- Facts sheet – some fun, cool and yucky facts about worms
- Curriculum & classroom extension information (for home schoolers or teachers)

SHIPPING:
Packs are shipped on the next Monday after your order is received, unless you ask for a later shipping date.
Shipping Is Via Australia Post Expresspost Satchel, with tracking.
Once you order, your tracking number will be emailed to you with an order confirmation and planned shipping date.
